[edit] Page move
Someone moved the Luigi page to Luigi (Mario). Was this discussed beforehand?? -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 00:57, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think so, but I think the consensus at Talk:King Bowser may apply to other Mario characters as well.--TBCTaLk?!? 09:39, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

- Well, the person didn't even bother to change any links. Even on the disambiguation page that everything redirects to. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 14:22, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] neshq.com
I am currently removing neshq.com external links when without a context (in example, when they are linked to the home page). The site has an Alexa ranking of nearly 4m, I wonder if all of them should be deleted. What do people think? -- ReyBrujo 03:14, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Anyone wanna help me with the list of Nintendo patents?
20 of them are done, and 491 need to get done. A lot of help would be appreciated. —Captain538[talk] 14:17, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- I am pretty concerned about having an article with 500 external links. I suggest not doing individual linking, just linking the search result link as reference. -- ReyBrujo 18:14, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- So, take away the links and just do the rest as un-linked? That can be done. In fact, that would be much, much easier. —Captain538[talk] 01:21, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, with the patent number it should be enough to find the patent. -- ReyBrujo 01:28, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] This project's Barnstar/award needs a lot of work.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Nintendo/Award
It's not even in Barnstar format. I say that we have a normal award (a regular Starman image), and a Barnstar (perhaps an image of a Barnstar pixelated and pallette-defined so it looks 8-bit). —Captain538[talk] 01:27, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Here's something that I just threw together in about 30 seconds, I know that it needs work. What do you think it should really look like?
—Captain538[talk] 01:41, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
I like Captain538 verison. The current verison is a VGC ripoff. :P Starmanclock - The Clock Crew Member Starmenclock 18:35, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Ummmm... How about black oval eyes with white dots for highlights? -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 21:26, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
How about we make it red with "Wikitendo" inscribed on it? FullMetal Falcon 21:51, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
They both need more work, but I started to make both those suggestions (Personally, I prefer the first one).I haven't put the "white highlight" in the second one yet.
BarnStarman award anyone? Jecowa 06:57, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Project Directory
Hello. The WikiProject Council is currently in the process of developing a master directory of the existing WikiProjects to replace and update the existing Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. These WikiProjects are of vital importance in helping wikipedia achieve its goal of becoming truly encyclopedic. Please review the following pages:
- User:Badbilltucker/Culture Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Culture Directory 2,
- User:Badbilltucker/Philosophy and religion Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Sports Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Geographical Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Geographical Directory/United States, (note: This page will be retitled to more accurately reflect its contents)
- User:Badbilltucker/History and society directory, and
- User:Badbilltucker/Science directory
and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope to have the existing directory replaced by the updated and corrected version of the directory above by November 1. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 21:20, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Just one question: Under where it says stuff like "Collaberations" and "Peer review," should we only fill in "yes," or should we also fill in all others with "no"? —Captain538[talk] 22:53, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- You should fill in the link to the appropriate page or section. If there is content, the box will show a "yes" and link directly to the appropriate page or section. Sorry about any confusion earlier, by the way. I forgot for a while that all the "draft" pages linked to the existing pages. The old pages have now been replaced and most things should work fine. My apologies again for any confusion. B2T2 00:07, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Request for Work
Hello, I'm Dfrg.msc, and I want to make some constructive edits to Wikipedia. It's not that I am unable to, I would just like some guidance. So, if you have any specific tasks related to this topic, please inform me on my talk page, be specific and include links and I'll help out as soon as I can. Thanks, Dfrg.msc 1 . 2 . 3 07:18, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] We need to have an article focus system.
I think we should have an article focus system. We could use approval voting to make a list of articles that need help. One at a time, we would list an article with what is needed to make it at least a GA, and keep it as that until it reaches GA status, then take the next article on the list.--Ac1983fan(yell at me) 17:18, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vote

- Support. This Project needs a lot more organization (some coordinators, selected articles, etc.) and this is just one of the steps. —Captain538[talk] 16:16, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Support Assuming things aren't dead in this project. I have the perfect article too to start things off. FullMetal Falcon 23:51, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Support, sounds like a great idea.--TBCΦtalk? 00:11, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Support, agree with TBC. bibliomaniac15 Review? 06:28, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Support Good idea, there aren't that many Nintendo-related articles that reach good, and fewer that reach featured. This should definitely help. —The Great Llamamoo? 19:11, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Do you mean an assessment scale? What most projects do, is that they categorize articles by Top importance, High, mid or low. And I think we should do that with this project as well. The top articles should be the systems, the pages for the franchises, Shigeru Miyamoto, the pages for the most famous characters (Mario, Link, etc).
[edit] Included Characters
In the introductory paragraph the sentence, "However, this does exclude Super Mario RPG related articles which, though owned by Square Enix, features Nintendo related characters." seems a bit odd. The word exclude seems to clash with the sentences around it. Is it saying that RPG aticles aren't included or they are. Either way can I suggest a slightly clearer phrasing which dosen't clash so much with the words around it?BigHairRef | Talk 01:02, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] nintendo music project
I am working on a Mario-based nintendo music project outside of Wikipedia. Please feel free to visit and contribute your info... or offer advice. We are new to this realm of collaboration, so please bear with us while we learn the ropes.
[edit] Tagging the Nintendo articles
It would be a lot of work, but the Talk pages of many Nintendo related articles are not tagged as being a part of Project Nintendo. The articles would be a lot easier to keep track of and it would be easier to keep track of which articles are good, featured, etc. So is this something that needs to be done? -- Scorpion0422 18:15, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- This does seem rather important, though there are a very high amount of talk pages without this tag. I'll start doing so. —The Great Llamamoo? 21:29, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Article Importance
For those who are not familiar, most projects tag their corresponding articles with either Top, High, mid or Low priority. So, if we're going to tag a lot of articles, which ones should which?
- TOP - The systems, Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto, Mario, Link, Luigi and other franchise characters, all the franchises
- HIGH - All first party games, major characters
- MID - Second and third party games, other characters
- LOW - Items, low characters, games made for other systems but were released on Nintendo
UPDATE - I changed the template so now it will include Assessment, etc should people wish to add them.
Opinions? -- Scorpion0422 22:00, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure about the structure of WikiProjects and page importance tags, but Wikipedia:WikiProject Computer and video games is already tagging articles such as Mario with these tags. Do we really need to tag them too? Jecowa 05:23, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mario's up for Good Article Review
Mario's up for WP:GA/R - concern seems to be about the citations - criteria 2a and 2d have been named specifically. - Malkinann 23:47, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mario Party articles in need of formatting
Almost all the games of Mario Party series needs a table format or some kind of format for the mini-games. Long lists of games aren't helping the articles much. RobJ1981 19:18, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
