[edit] Founding of Project

Hope this Project lives up to it's new hype. While I am a founding member, I will not be actively participating in the Project as I am leaving Wikipedia. Please direct any new questions here or to the co-founder Kingfisherswift. Thank you! Moe ε 17:06, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

I'd be happy to join up Night Bringer

I have a plethora of wrestling knowledge, amoung media...I'll be very happy to help if you need my skills or anything of the such... The Charismatic Enigma 19:19, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Then feel free to add your name to the member list, and welcome aboard. --JFred 19:22, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Some pages to link to

Don't know where to put this, but two pages we should link to on this project are Jim Johnston (composer) (WWE's music director) and Dale Oliver (TNA's music composer). --JFred 17:48, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

OK, what we need is someone to design a template linking to this project, and stick it on the articles talk pages. I'll see if Master of Puppets is interested. Kingfisherswift 10:23, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

Would {{Project Music of wrestling}} do?
This article is within the scope of WikiProject Media of wrestling, which collaborates on media in professional wrestling and related articles on Wikipedia. Visit the project page for more information.
--Oakster (Talk) 11:31, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

Excellent, I'll remember you if I need a designer. Kingfisherswift 16:27, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Name change?

Can you change the WikiProject title to reflect the fact that it encompasses DVDs and books? We could also put Professional wrestling games under this project too. --Jtalledo (talk) 20:48, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

You mean something along the lines of WikiProject Media of wrestling? --JFred 21:36, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
I would go with that title too. It would help us avoid fuss with shortcuts. --Oakster (Talk) 21:44, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WCW/ECW CDs

I know that the Music list is missing the CDs that WCW and ECW put out. I would add them, but I don't remember their exact titles or if there are pages for them. Also, since John Cena's album is listed, shouldn't Fozzy's albums? --JFred 03:57, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Here's a list of wrestling realted albums that I should be added (including your suggestions and if they haven't been already created):
    • WWF Tough Enough Soundtrack (I & II)
    • WCW Slam-Jam
    • WCW Limited Edition Theme Songs
    • WCW Mayhem
    • ECW: Extreme Music
    • ECW Anarchy Rocks Extreme Music 2
    • "Be A Man" - Savage

Smoltz 00:52, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

I'll see if I could make Be A Man later this week. I need a laugh anyway. --Oakster (Talk) 21:26, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Subpage?

I'm thinking that we should create a subpage listing the various wrestling books, DVD's, CD's, movies, and so on. Maybe at Wikipedia:WikiProject Media of wrestling/List of wrestling media, and create subsections on that page to seperate the various types of media. I know the music is listed on the project main page, but since there's so much different media, I think it will be too much for the main page. --JFred 19:13, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

I've created the list now. I'm not particularly sure about the criteria for what should be counted under films (comparing See No Evil with Kane as compared to Rocky III starring Hulk Hogan for example) so I could do with a little help there. --Oakster (Talk) 09:11, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
The films you have listed there are good. I went around and added the MoW template to the talk pages of a bunch of articles that I feel should be included (video games, movies, books, DVD's and CD's), if that helps. --JFred 09:47, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
Shouldnt we add the WWE Action figures too? --Edraf 11:25, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Plan

OK, new plan. If anyone thinks of absolutely anything that is even remotely connected with this, can they add it? Yes, now we've included Games DVD's and books it will be bigger, but I have my doubts on the project having enough information for a whole project, and want to silence the critics. Kingfisherswift 12:00, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

I added some entries. --Jtalledo (talk) 11:59, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

i added like 5 DVD articles. They're not perfect but, can be expanded

[edit] E-wrestling

Hi, I am going to be working on cleanup of the E-wrestling page. The Talk page lists this WikiProject as its parent, but I see no discussion of it here. Are you still interested in maintaining it within your project? --Roninbk t c # 10:28, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

It is media of professional wrestling, so I guess we're inclined to have it as part of the project. Normy132 10:28, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sting: Moment of Truth

I'm working on adding some stuff to this page. I bought the DVD, and it's kind of bad, so why not use it for this site? :D Tenspeeder 23:58, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] No Mercy Uproar

Could I please have a link on the WWF No Mercy N64 game page to my forum. I know how difficult it is to find old codes so i have placed them all in a database, this is also the home of the Monday Night War game save.

[edit] Project Directory

Hello. The WikiProject Council is currently in the process of developing a master directory of the existing WikiProjects to replace and update the existing Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. These WikiProjects are of vital importance in helping wikipedia achieve its goal of becoming truly encyclopedic. Please review the following pages:

  • User:Badbilltucker/Culture Directory,
  • User:Badbilltucker/Culture Directory 2,
  • User:Badbilltucker/Philosophy and religion Directory,
  • User:Badbilltucker/Sports Directory,
  • User:Badbilltucker/Geographical Directory,
  • User:Badbilltucker/Geographical Directory/United States, (note: This page will be retitled to more accurately reflect its contents)
  • User:Badbilltucker/History and society directory, and
  • User:Badbilltucker/Science directory

and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope to have the existing directory replaced by the updated and corrected version of the directory above by November 1. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 21:51, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Sorry if you tried to update it before, and the corrections were gone. I have now put the new draft in the old directory pages, so the links should work better. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused you. B2T2 00:37, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
