[edit] To Do List

Number 2 on the list as it currently stands (one article per each of the 26 radio episodes and 6 TV episodes) is probably NOT a good idea. Unlike longer-running SF series (Star Trek, Doctor Who, etc.), none of the episodes had specific titles (beyond Fit the First to Fit the Twenty-sixth for the radio series or Episode One to Episode Six for the TV series). Granted, the summaries for the action in the six TV episodes still hasn't been finished as I write this, but the four pages (radio series summary, radio series 1 & 2, radio series 3-5 and TV series) were long ago decided by consensus, and still make a logical format. I just can't see where 32 short articles would do any better than four long, detailed ones. --JohnDBuell 15:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Key articles for Wikipedia 1.0

Hello! We at the Work via WikiProjects team for Wikipedia 1.0 would like you to identify the "key articles" from your project that should be included in offline releases of Wikipedia based on their importance, regardless of quality. We will use that information to assess which articles should be nominated for Version 1.0 (not yet open) and later versions. Hopefully it will also help you identify which articles are the most important for the project to work on. As well, please add to your Arts WikiProject article table any articles of high quality. If you are interested in developing a worklist such as this one for your WikiProject, or having a bot generate a worklist automatically for you, please contact us. Please feel free to post your suggestions right here. Thanks! Walkerma 01:09, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Active or not?

Sorry folks, but I haven't seen much movement here. The main project page has changed little, and I haven't really seen any contributions to any related pages. I've been tempted to put {{historical}} on the main page.... --JohnDBuell 02:28, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

It would be nice if this were to remain active...but I see little direction for the project...I joined in the hopes of being able to contribute more...but there seems to be little to no leading body left here... --KPWM_Spotter 03:00, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
I STILL haven't been able to make the time to write proper summaries for the TV episodes on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (TV series) page. If anyone has the tapes, or even better the DVDs (as they provide more material), that would be one long-standing thing off of my personal to-do list. --JohnDBuell 03:05, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
I have the DVDs actually...eBay'ed them last year... I might start up on those edits tomorrow, if I've got the time. --KPWM_Spotter 03:27, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
I just did some major rewrites on the actual project page, so maybe we can get some people interested and move forward! --JohnDBuell 20:14, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A message from the founder

I'm currently more occupied with WikiProject Dad's Army at moment. So, therefore I have decided to give control of the project to JohnDBuell as he has done a lot for this project so far, and I hope will continue to help out this project in the future. However, i'm not quitting the role as project founder and controller, if you like I am doing what Bill Gates did recently. Thankyou --Mollsmolyneux 18:39, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you. I accept, and hope everyone can contribute! --JohnDBuell 18:54, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
