Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Belgrade

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Added myself to the list of members, changed {{User WikiProject Belgrade}} so that it looks slightly better (though it could still be improved), added this wikiproject to Wikipedia:List of WikiProjects and began categorising this stuff. I'd suggest we make this a turnkey-base wikiproject for ease of use. So, let's get this project off the ground :) --estavisti 15:12, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Is there some wiki project for entire Serbia, or Serbia and Montenegro? I will be very nice to have that portal. — SasaStefanovic • 00:28 13-04-2006
Hello ;) Wikipedia:WikiProject_Serbia --Alek 17:38, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

I was just thinking, do you guys think it would be useful to have a different infobox for Belgrade suburban and urban municipalities? The same goes for other larger cities in Serbia, like Niš, Novi Sad, and Kragujevac. By the way I've added myself to the project. --Krytan 00:30, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dead

I feel sad for this WikiProject (one of the two I had created in my wiki-life). As "HeadMaster" I suggest its declaration of being officially dead. Below that you can vote for deletion of the WikiProject (only members can vote and new members cannot). 75% is the pass-needed majority. The voting lasts until every member gives his vote. Comments may be added below by any User. --PaxEquilibrium 21:16, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Declaration of Inactivity

  • Support as per the nominator. --PaxEquilibrium 21:16, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Support, per nom. --estavisti 15:00, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion

  • Neutral - must hear out other members' opinions. --PaxEquilibrium 21:16, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Oppose - Current inactivity, in my opinion, can be remedied by introducing interesting Belgrade-related projects, which wouldn't consume too much time. Also, apart from this declaration of inactivity, nothing else has been tried to activate this WikiProject. --Meelosh 00:11, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

  • This is a little crazy... No one's voting. I can't brake the rules I imposed!.. ah, if no one's even interested to help close the project, that it truly must be dead. :S --PaxEquilibrium 23:17, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
  • I will skim the contributions of members and declare users inactive if they haven't contributed... This will speed-up the process, hopefully. --PaxEquilibrium 23:29, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bormalagurski Case

As per the ArbCom's decision on Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Kosovo, User:Bormalagurski has been banned for edit warring & incivility for one year's time. Although I took myself the liberty of temporarely removing him myself, I ask for confirmation of other members of this WikiProject. All active members have to vote and 3/4 is the required majority. I know that this might seem slightly ridiculous to some; but I insist on formality.

  • Support. He has been blocked for one year's time, so there's no need to keep him in the list for one year. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by PaxEquilibrium (talkcontribs) 13:18, 24 October 2006).

[edit] Ban

  • Oppose - as a formality, since Bormalagurski has proven to be heavily incivil, earning even an indef block from the Serbian wikipedia (where he was administrator), I suggest banning him from the WikiProject (just an open question). However, as I dislike bans (except for damaging bots), I vote oppose. --PaxEquilibrium 13:18, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Comment

  • OK, Standard procedure is that I first suggest the conditions, and then we reach a consensus and adopt them... but knowing how dead is the WikiProject, I took myself the liberty of imposing the rules (as the Grandmaster). However, neither this worked, and I don't want to seem like a usurper and close the WikiProject myself. --PaxEquilibrium 23:27, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Project directory

Hello. The WikiProject Council has recently updated the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. This new directory includes a variety of categories and subcategories which will, with luck, potentially draw new members to the projects who are interested in those specific subjects. Please review the directory and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope that all the changes to the directory can be finished by the first of next month. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 17:04, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
