[edit] Initial Intentions
Hello fellow Wikipedians. I have set up some handy little templates to try and standardize the little surfing information there is. At the time of writing this, there is pretty much nothing in relation to the Association of Surfing Professionals. There is around 5-6 pages, all with not much more than a few sentences, and it is in disarray. My desired tasks ahead (now that I have created some templates and standards) are to collaborate information and display a quality page on the Association of Surfing Professionals. I want it to include the ASP World Tour, World Championship Tours, and the WQS. I also want to go over other existing articles, such as the World surfing champions, and not only create a more orderly standard, but intertwine these pages with the Association of Surfing Professionals. Although I am not all that knowledgable in the are of surfing (although I am an Australian, and do surf occasionally, at a severe beginner level), I do indeed believe I can help with the sports coverage on Wikipedia.
I intend to set about the above in the coming days and weeks. After the initial bulk is done, I will move onto surfer profiles (which is already set up for anyone to take part, see main page) and then eventually onto ASP World Tour event pages. I invite anybody to help out, all are not only welcome, but encouraged. Please use this page to discuss your views and put in your input, as Wikipedia belongs to everybody.
