Interesting...One critical idea, however: I don't think that Wikipedia's adolescence will be that short. Once we have an article about every notable school, company, religion, etc, we'll probably go about making an article for each and every one that ever existed, because we'll have the power to do so. The only reason we're not doing so now is because we have to give some sort of system to the encyclopedia's growth, and we start with the important stuff first. That being said, it is a very nice essay—well organized, well thought out, you pretty much hit the nail on the head --The ikiroid (talk/parler/hablar/paroli/说/話) 13:59, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

Interesting essay. However, I disagree with the human development theory. Lifestages are averaged out depending upon the average human lifespan which is around 80 years give or take. Wikipedia, in theory, will continue to exist long after the average human lifespan. Also, Wikipedia may just never become stable as we will never run out of topics to write about!
