Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to Zoids. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page.

[edit] Reasoning and Scope

The aim of the project is to expand the information on Wikipedia in relation to the Zoids model range, franchise, and associated fictional universe. The Zoids model and toy range has been sold in Japan, the U.S, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific over the past twenty-three years (intermittedly in the latter regions). The Zoids franchise also encompasses five anime series, a Marvel UK comic, numerous mangas and official web comics, a Game Boy Advance series, a GameCube series, and several older games.

The primary scope of the Zoids articles will focus on the model series. With over 200 different releases in fifteen production runs (not including special editions), this is a mammoth task. However, we are already over a quarter of the way there. In addition, this article will encompass many of the assoicated products in the franchise, namely the anime series', and the electronic games.

It would be excellent if each Zoid had at least one image for the readers to work from... as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. If anyone has any Zoids models or toys, please, take a photograph and upload it to be used in an article.

These sites are good sources for information on the Zoids models

  • Phenotype's Zoids Site - Good for NJR releases and after, although weakens at Fuzors and Genesis releases.
  • Gojulas' Lair - Good for most, but not all, OJR model images.
  • Ironwing's War Room - Good for colourschemes, as long as the Zoid's name starts 'A to L' inclusive. No Blox Zoids.
  • Zoids Genesis Webpage - All about zoids genesis including some cool gifs from most series.
