This WikiProject aims to organize, improve the quality, and provide accurate information in an established, community-driven, Wikipedia standard for Vancouver, Greater Vancouver Regional District, and Vancouver-related articles. [edit] Five Point Plan

As described and collaborated by the participants of the WikiProject Vancouver on November 13, 2006.

On November 22, 2006 the article Vancouver became a featured article.
The Vancouver Portal has had major work on it lately but still requires more content and organization. We would ideally like it to be a featured portal.
Vancouver now satisfies all Version 1.0 criteria. Nominations for articles are not active as the 1.0 project is still underway.
  • Reorganization of the WikiProject.
Our former layout was based upon the WikiProject Ottawa as a template. Our increased mandate to other articles means creating a new WikiProject to accommodate our goals. Motion on revisions and a new direction for this project are already underway. Upon the creation of this WikiProject it was planned that this project would form its own identity and format. It's about time that idea was realized.
  • Continued work on Vancouver related articles to Featured Status.
This presents a long road ahead, but Vancouver is now our example for establishing our standard to the rest of this project.
