Nix Hounds are fictional creatures in the game The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. They are giant green creatures with four legs. They are found in all regions of Vvardenfell and occasionally in bandit lairs or abandoned mines and caves. They are aggressive but not very dangerous. They can be very annoying, being prone to ambush, often waiting on the side of the roads. The meat from the nix hound is very nutritious and is used in making restore fatigue potions. They are about as strong as the alit, and can sometimes be blighted. Its soul is worth 10 points if trapped in a soulgem. The Nix-hound carries the Black heart blight disease that will easily put a new player's strength under zero making it impossible to move while carrying anything.

It is worth noting that the Nix Hound is the second creature in Morrowind that can swim in addition with the mudcrab, and the only land animal capable of swimming.
