[edit] Creating new pages or editing previous versions
If you plan to add a variety page (i.e. Da Hong Pao) you should follow the Wikipedia:WikiProject Tea/Guidelines. For pages of grouped tea (i.e. Oolong Tea) the explanation of common pitfalls and guidelines is availible too, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Tea/Type Guidelines.
[edit] Templates
An example page is availible, it is the Yunnan tea article.
- Infobox for Tea, this is a general infobox suitable for the various varieties e.g. Da Hong Pao, but not suitable for things like Wiyi Mountain Oolong, it can be found at Infobox Tea. To use it in a page you must include something like this:

- Color definitions for various tea types are defined, as you may notice they create thin horizontal lines, please do not be fooled by Tea_color being the color of the brew, it is merely the type of tea in a non-linked form so that the color definition can be retrieved from, in the above example, Template: Infobox_Tea/Types/Black. The following are currently defined.
- color for White
- color for Black
- color for Oolong
- color for Green
- color for Yellow
- color for Pouchong
- color for Wuyi teas
- color for Puerh teas
Please add as required.
- General page template is Template: Tea new type article but it is out of date.
