Wikipedia:WikiProject Soft drinks
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome to the Soft Drinks WikiProject. We are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Soft Drinks.
(For more information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject and the Guide to WikiProjects).
- Goals
- This project is dedicated to creating, improving, and maintaining articles related to soft drinks around the world, their history, and their cultural impact.
- Scope
- The scope of this project will include at least initially only those drinks which are classified as being soft drinks in the modern marketplace. However, discussion is taking place on the talk page to include other beverages, such as milk, cream, vegetable juice, coffee, tea, mate, and other drinks in the Category:Non-alcoholic beverages. Please feel free to leave any comments there.

- Gold-Horn (talk • contribs) - I've had a fair few in my time!
- Daniel Case (talk • contribs) — mainly because of my work on New Coke.
- seacruise- I've had some from Korea, not bad, but on the sweet side.
- DogNewTricks (talk • contribs) — I drink soda atleast 2 a day at school.
- Philbert2.71828 — Most of my edits relate to varieties of Coca-Cola.
- Badbilltucker - will help out where and when I can do some good, although you might have to tell me what needs being done once in a while. Bricks through the window and messages on my userpage generally work best.
- KungFuActionGrip (talk • contribs) - I live in the hometown of Coke and am up for research, this would be my first article here but I have degrees in history and analytical research, so I should be able to help if someone will let me know what to do.
- Alucard44 (talk • contribs) I would like to spell check this. Other than that, I guess everyone else will have information, but I'll try my best! Please ask for my email on my User Page.

- Kokoloko2k7 (talk • contribs) I love to drink soft drinks. I once had a "non-alcoholic beverage collection". I am a self-proclaimed "soft-drink connoisseur."
- Happyfacesrock (talk • contribs) I can proofread/spellcheck some of these articles....
- Nayborish (talk • contribs) I would like to do research on the history of soft drinks. However I don't know how to start adding content I find into the article. If someone wants to message me on how to do this I will start ASAP gathering information.
- Coocooforcocopuffs (talk • contribs) There is a Jolt Energy Soda company where I live, I could get some pictures and/or information

Please feel free to list your new Soft Drinks-related articles here (newer articles at the top, please). Any new articles that have an interesting or unusual fact in them should be suggested for the Did you know? box the Main Page.
Everyone knows that Coca Cola contained cocaine at one time, but how many people know that 7-Up contained a psychoactive substance as well? Originally, 7-Up contained lithium, and even advertised that "it takes the ouch out of grouch". Amazing for the soda that used to advertise that itself as the "uncola" because it was "crystal clear" and did not have caffeine ("never had it, never will").
I have read that some varities of 7-up DO have caffeine now, just showing how much faith one should put in advertising slogans. As lawyers say, they are just "puffery".
In a similar vein, I am surprised to find out that A&W Creme Soda contains caffeine. So does Sunkist Orange Soda! I guess the citrus fruit company has licensed its name to be used on a few other products, which strikes me as a bit misleading...
