[edit] WikiProject Retailing newsletter for November 2006
Hello, this is the WikiProject Retailing newsletter, Volume 3. You are receiving this either because you have opted in to receive this, or you are viewing it because it is listed on {{retailing-subscription}}.
- News
- WikiProject Retailing member Tuxide now has authorization to use AutoWikiBrowser, a popular semi-automated tool for editing Wikipedia articles in mass. The only other known member that can use this tool is Schuminweb. This will now make some of the more repetitive tasks in WikiProject Retailing less boring, such as expanding WikiProject Retailing's articles list. For starts, the list now has been expanded to include consumer electronics retailers.
- WikiProject Retailing's main page now has a shortcut! You can now link to WP:RETAIL instead of typing the whole project page out.
- Open tasks
- Introduce some tasks that can easily be done using AutoWikiBrowser. If you have a boring task that needs to be done to many articles, then by all means request it! A good place to make such requests would be WikiProject Retailing's talk page.
- Currently, many articles in WikiProject Retailing's articles list are about retailing companies in the United States, or stores in English-speaking regions. Try to find retailing stub articles that are in better shape in another Wikipedia language, and request that they be translated into English on WP:TIE. An example would be Yamada Denki (compared to ja:ヤマダ電機).
- Fry's Electronics is a consumer electronics store in Silicon Valley. Its article currently has many style and NPOV problems, and lacks numerous citations.
