The guitarist infobox should be used to summarize information about the guitarist in a standard manner. Many of the parameters can be omitted if desired; the choice of which parameters are appropriate for a particular guitarist is left to the discretion of the article editors.

- name – full name or stage name
- image – an image of the guitarist. The image must be given in the form [[Image:Example.jpg|300px]]; in particular, the thumb attribute must not be selected.
- born – the birth date and birthplace, formatted as January 1, 2000. <br /> Place of birth.Do not wikilink dates.
- died optional – date of death, formatted as above.
- aliases optional – any known aliases of the guitarist, formatted as Alias 1<br />Alias 2<br /> ...
- genre – one or more genres of music played, formatted as Genre 1<br />Genre 2<br /> ...
- affiliation optional – one or more musical groups or musicians who the guitarist is known to perform with, formatted as Affiliation 1<br />Affiliation 2<br /> ...
- label optional – label(s) the guitarist is known to record with, formatted as Label 1<br />Label 2<br /> ...
