Some Wikipedians have formed a WikiProject with the concern that a number of AfD's are being nominated more than once. Our goal is to review current and old AfD's which have been kept and check to see if the a link to the AfD was added to the articles talk page, and if not, add it. We feel that this might possibly result in fewers AfD's, if others were able to review past discussions. Our current goals are

• To review closed AfD's that have resulted in keep or speedy keeps and place a template with a link to the closed discussion on that articles talk page, that do not already have one per section 4 of the deletion process.
• We will start from July 30 2006 and go back, as well as watch for new improperly closed AfD's.

Please see the to do box in the upper right hand corner. They are a list of past AfD discussions that were not closed properly. Please place a template on the talk page. When you are finished with a section, delete it. And when the whole page is done, blank it.

[edit] How to use the template

• Add in the date that the AfD was nominated (not the day it was closed)
• Add a link to the AfD on the left side of the "|" for discussion
• Add in result: either Keep or Speedy keep
• Place tag on the articles talk page
• Place the following in the edit summary

In some cases, the result is not keep. For these situations, you should modify the template for clarity. One such decision might result in no consensus, which by default is a keep.

• Redirect: Wording: An article was nominated for deletion on day/month/year. The result of the [[link to AfD|discussion]] was redirect.
• Merge: Wording: An article was nominated for deletion on day/month/year. The result of the [[link to AfD|discussion]] was merge.
• Rename: Wording: An article with a similar name was nominated for deletion on day/month/year. The result of the [[link to AfD|discussion]] was rename.

Note: This is considered a major edit as opposed to a minor edit.
