WikiProject Academy Awards is a WikiProject dedicated to building a comprehensive and detailed guide to the Academy Awards on Wikipedia.

Goals:

  • To standardize the Academy Awards articles in Wikipedia.
  • To improve Wikipedia coverage of the Academy Awards by adding, expanding and improving Academy Awards articles
  • To serve as a central point of discussion for issues related to Wikipedia Academy Awards articles

What can you do?

  • The articles for 13 ceremonies have yet to be started. You can start them.
  • Almost all of the ceremonies don't have articles on what was nominated.
  • You can edit any Academy Awards article, or join the project below and/or contribute to the discussion on the talk page.
  • If you find an article without an image, please list it at Requested pictures.
  • Most of the articles don't follow the same format. Please help correct this.
  • Find a fair-use image to be used to identify the WikiProject.

Add categories for each Academy Awards ceremony article in the following format:

Note that the second Category, yyyy is replaced by the year of film release on which the ceremonies were based. The annual film awards categories in Wikipedia were based on film release years, not the years each ceremony was held.
