Wiki collaboration is the art of working together on a wiki to reach a goal. Most wikis exist to document or describe things which already exist, but they can also be used to make plans for future work.

Wiki collaboration could also include working on a project using wiki technology. Most wikis for project work are usually restricted to a user group (usually the project team and possibly other selected people) by putting access controls in place. This is often because the nature of the information and knowledge being shared is restricted or confidential.

The typical set-up for a project wiki would involve some sort of project description on the main page and links to various phases of the project on the navigation bar or menu. It would also include a directory or listing of the project team and relevant personnel.
