[edit] Welcome from PS2pcGAMER

Hello Wikipedian06 and welcome to Wikipedia!

After seeing one of your contributions, I just thought I'd stop by and say hello. There can be a lot to Wikipedia, so I thought I'd let you know of some important links, such as:

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or you can just ask me on my talk page Alternatively, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome and if there is anything at all I can do for you, just leave me a message. PS2pcGAMER (talk) 11:49, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nominating for deletion

This is how an article is nominated for deletion. As of now, your nomination for Harry Potter and the Toenail of Icklibõgg is unfinished. Be bold, go ahead and complete the nom. Feel free to contact me for any assistance. --soUmyaSch 04:32, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

I noticed that it's been about two days since you started this nomination, so I went ahead and completed it for you. In the future, you can go here to find instructions for making a proper nomination for deletion. If you'd like to voice your opinion in the AfD discussion, please feel free to do so here. --Icarus 21:52, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Exit lists

I compiled the exit lists from these sources: the bridge logs [1] and the Cal-NExUS data: [2]. I simply matched up the interchanges on the bridge logs with the exits on the Cal-NExUS data, plus the cities are listed next to the interchanges. Other data (like which interchanges are exits or entrances or both, or which roads they connect to) might have come from me or other people using Google Maps or Mapquest, especially for the notes section. The fact that I'm related to CalTrans employees does not mean I get my data directly from them (that would constitute original research) but if I do ask them on anything, I double-check online on Caltrans' website. I might have become a civil engineer at Caltrans myself if it wasn't my goal to become a computer support technician. --Geopgeop 18:47, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Civility

Please refrain from making edit summaries like this. It's disruptive, incivil, and generally not very nice or conducive to a working atmosphere here. I won't patronise you by linking policy, but please remember to adhere to it. Thanks, —Celestianpower háblame 21:23, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm afraid that doesn't hold water. There is no excuse for incivility. None at all. It's the linchpin of our community: without it, we have anarchy.
As to his edits, please discuss it with him. I've always found him to be communicable. I happen to agree with him actually. Until we get real sources, we can't add information to Wikipedia. It's as simple as that. Reliable sourcing is vital for keeping information accurate, and the encyclopedia usable as a seroius reference source.
By the way, just because someone isn't an Admin, doesn't give them any less rights. "Admin" is just a set of tools. We can do things you can't. It doesn't give us more political weight. Our political weight comes from our contributions. Nothing else. Thanks, —Celestianpower háblame 22:24, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit at Majora

Hi, I noticed this edit you made at Majora. You may not be familiar with Wikipedia's style guides and policies, so allow me to point out a few relevant items:

  • Titles of video games, just as with those of books and films, are italicized on Wikipedia.
  • Strategy guide material, such as lists of minutia, cheat codes, or character statistics such as hit points, is not suitable for Wikipedia. You may add information such as this to gaming-specific wikis if you wish.
  • Section headers at Wikipedia are not written in proper caps; only the first word is capitalized, with exceptions made for proper nouns, etc.
  • Copyrighted text is not allowed on Wikipedia. All text contributions must be made available under the terms of the GFDL.

If you have any further questions about Wikipedia's style guide, please see the Manual of Style.
