User:WIKISCRIPPS 07/KOL Secret Slumber Party on CBS Schedule Variations

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KOL Secret Slumber Party on CBS -- a joint production of CBS, KOL (AOL's kids service) and DiC Entertainment, which was launched on September 16, 2006 follows a similar approach to the previously aired Nick Jr. on CBS lineup -- the Nick Jr. on CBS lineup of programs produced by Viacom and Nickelodeon before CBS and Viacom became two separate companies. The programs in this block (which are Madeline, Sabrina, the Animated Series, Trollz, Horseland, Cake and Dance Revolution) do not air at the same time on all CBS stations, even though promotional material and ratings data give a "uniform" national time. The time slots for these programs varies by market. Because of this, KOL's official site does not give specific times for their programs, therefore urging viewers to check local listings for time and channel.

In random order, here are some examples on the scheduling variations:

Note: Some stations may present certain programs earlier or later than other stations in their respective time zones.

  1. Stations airing the whole schedule in succession following local news and the Saturday Early Show (starting at 10:00 AM ET / 9:00 AM CT / 7:00 AM PT).
  2. Stations that air some programs on Saturdays, but will air the rest of the schedule on Sundays.
  3. Stations airing the whole schedule but also have regular newscasts, the Saturday Early Show and/or other programs scheduled in between.
  4. Stations airing the whole schedule in succession but on a delayed basis -- In these cases, the Saturday Early Show is presented earlier than most stations in their respective time zones, possibly because of fewer and/or shorter newscasts or the newscasts and local programs are presented afterwards. Another reason this might be the case is possibly because local newscasts and/or other programs are preferred and the Saturday Early Show does not air in these markets.
  5. Stations that air the programs in a different order.
  6. Stations that don't air all of the programs.

Many stations were surveyed and here are the results:
