[edit] Wikipedians by mental health?
Should this category really be in Category:Wikipedians by mental health? Some autists may object to the implication that their mental health is bad, myself included. We're just very fundamentally different, that's all. If we judged autistic people as having bad mental health for failing to understand the neurotypical world, then autists could just as easily judge neurotypicals as being in bad mental health for failing to understand the autistic world. I would prefer this be categorized under something like "Wikipedians by condition" or something, as a condition is not necessarily a good nor a bad thing. - Gilgamesh 17:22, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
I think it's fine. The idea that our health is somehow "bad" compared to others is as you said, an implication. Implication schmimplication. Personally, the category doesn't bother me, since it is a condition that falls under the study of mental health, rather than a purely physical condition such as obesity or blindness or superhuman strength. Let's not be too touchy. I'm assuming good intentions with the category, so I don't mind it. Maybe we can include it under both? Resonanteye 04:25, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
