[edit] How to get there

  • Via public transport: Take the underground trains U3 and U6 to the “Implerstraße“ and take the 152 bus to the“Großmarkthalle“ station
  • Via car or truck:
    • From the “A9“, Autobahn/motorway Nürnberg: at the motorway intersection “München Nord“ continue on in the direction of Salzburg. Shortly after at the motorway intersection “München Süd“ continue on to the “Mittlerer Ring“ – the B2R / E 54 – which circumnavegates Munich. After travelling south a few kilometers on the Ring in clockwise fashion one goes through Ramersdorf, then through a tunnel in Giesing and then through another tunnel. Right after the end of the tunnel you will cross the Isar river: Stay on the far right side and look carefully for the signs showing the "Großmarkthalle“. On the bridge you will already see the three very large smokestacks of the Munich garbage recycling facility. As you drive toward the right past this facility on the Thalkirchner Strasse you will find the large “Großmarkthalle“ entrance on the left side just across the street.
    • From the Autobahn/motorway Salzburg and motorway Passau: continue on direction to motorway Garmisch-Partenkirchen. At the end of the motorway automatically you will enter the ”Mittlerer Ring“. Shortly after crossing the Isar river (approximately 1.5 km after the end of the motorway), carefully look for the signs showing the "Großmarkthalle“.
    • From the Autobahn/motorway Lindau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen: when you enter the ”Mittlerer Ring“ continue on direction to motorway Salzburg. Approximately 1.5 km after the end of the motorway Garmisch-Partenkirchen, carefully look for the signs showing the "Großmarkthalle“.
    • From the Autobahn/motorway Stuttgart: at first continue on to motorway Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which you will enter until you reach its end. At second, from the ”Mittlerer Ring” continue on to motorway “Salzburg“. After about 11.5 km, carefully look for the signs showing the "Großmarkthalle“.

In general: The main entrance of the Wholesalemarket Munich is situated directly opposite to the Munich garbage burning and recycling facility. Their three very tall chimneys are easy to see protruding into the Munich skyline.

The Wholesalemarket Munich is situated close to the city center and are connected via the “Mittlerer Ring“ with motorways and arterial roads. The adjoining "South Station“ with its own track infrastructure and modern unloading equipment provides an optimal and reliable connection to the railway system. Munich is an advance border entrance point, which means all import/export formalities can be transacted easily within the branch offices of the public authorities.
