WHO Radio Wise Guys

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The WHO Radio Wise Guys airs on the midwest's legendary fifty-thousand-watt WHO (AM) Saturdays from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. (CT) on Saturdays. The hosts are Dan Adams, Ross Peterson, and Brian Gongol. The show is streamed online at WHO's website[1]. The show, which first aired in 1999, focuses on computers and technology news. The hosts publish a weekly e-mail newsletter containing information on technology and personal computer security. They also offer a podcast[2].

The show is sometimes preempted by broadcasts of Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball broadcasts.

[edit] History

Created by Jeff Hansen and Danny Bishop, Radio Wise Guys' original name was "Dot Com", but was changed in 2000 in order to involve a wider subject matter, and thus attract a broader audience. Past Wise Guys (co-hosts) include George Davison, Kevin Wichtendahl and Corey Allen.
