Trash was the name under which ex members of The Pathfinders and The Poets recorded for Apple Records. They were given the name by Richard DiLello the Apple liaison officer who wrote a book about his times at the label called The Longest Cocktail Party as well as penning all the biographies for the label's artists. The name he chose was White Trash, a name not only in use in the States by Edgar & Johnny Winter but deemed offensive in Britain, hence the change to the one word Trash.

The band issued only 2 singles, both covers, of Carole King's Road To Nowhere and the Beatles' Golden Slumbers (at the time one of the tracks on the forthcoming Abbey Road). This single made the Top 30 but the band disappeared shortly after.
