Talk:White-tipped Dove

[edit] Is this image correct?
This doesn't look like the White-tipped Doves I've seen here in S. Texas, USA. The back and wings in this image are much too dark and the body is much too light. The White-tipped Dove's bill is black and the feet are orange. Another clue is the image name, which is White-headed_dove.jpg. Sometimes the White-crowned Pigeon (Patagioenas leucocephala) is call the White-headed Dove but that's not it. The closest thing I could find with a quick search was the White-headed Pigeon (Columba leucomela) found in Australia. TimWhitehouse 15:05, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
- It's not a White-tipped, which I've now seen in Trinidad, and I can't find it in the USFWS image library under either pigeon or dove, jimfbleak 16:46, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

- I'll try to get an image. Currently they're not coming to my yard but the refuges around here feed them and I can get pretty close. TimWhitehouse 19:44, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
