What is the source for "It was created in 1895 by renaming the Prescot Rural District when the parish of Prescot was removed from that rural district and created a separate urban district."

I can't find any evidence of this.

Neither can I. [1] shows Prescot UD created in 1894 and [2] shown Whiston RD created in 1894 with no boundary changes with each other until 1932. Mrsteviec 14:21, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

Reference is made to this change on the website of Knowsley Council's Local History section under "Tarbock Timeline-Part 4". I am attempting to get some more on this but it does seem to be accurate Placid
