When William Came

When William Came is a novel written by British author Saki (Hector Hugh Munro) and published in 1914. At the time of writing it was set several years in the future, after a fictional war between Germany and Great Britain, which Germany won. The book is a story of life in London after Germany occupation, and the changes that come with it. Looking back in hindsight, the book could be considered an alternate history novel.
