Wheesung (born 5 February 1982) is a Korean R&B singer.
Highly praised by Seo Tai Ji and Shin Seung Hoon, Wheesung was welcomed by more than one million Korean fans while promoting his debut album: Like a Movie (released April 4, 2002). Shin Seung Hoon, who is known as "The King of Ballads", made a prediction that Wheesung will become one of the biggest Korean popstars in the future, as well as making the statement, "Not that he is a good singer, but he knows how to sing," which clearly reveals the fact that Wheesung's debut album cannot and should not be ignored. Within just 20 days of Seo Tai Ji and Shin Seung Hoon's comments on Wheesung over the internet, Wheesung's website was visited by more than a million people. And this is what benefited his promotion of his debut album. Citizens around Korea had already known Wheesung and had great hopes for him before his debut album release.
He was part of M Boat, a sister company of YG Family, along with Gummy and Big Mama, until his contract ended in March 2006.
So far, Wheesung has released four albums so far, with more to come. His fourth album, called "Love... Love...? Love...!", was released September 23, 2005/
He was arracted by Park Geun Tae, a very famous composer, while he covering "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" with him and Phil Collins gave great praise to Wheesung with the successful remake. So Wheesung had very deep impression and made a decision to change his company.
Thus, he is a singer & producer of Orange Shock, a creative group of Park Geun Tae, now.
