[edit] Not first US coin to depict a real person

That would be the 1893 Columbian Expo quarter, which depicted Queen Isabella and Columbus. I'm also fairly certain that Longacre's Indian Head cent design was his daughter wearing a headdress. (I think I read this somewhere, although I'm certainly willing to let that one slide as an "idealised" representation of a real person.)--chris.lawson 02:29, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
