[edit] dispute resolution
Hi Whas,
The discussion on the wikipedia article is getting heated, and I urge you to calm down and engage the opinion of other wikipedians via WP:RfC or some other form of dispute resolution. It appears that editors have formed into factions, and have assumed adversarial stances.
I don't know the best way forward from here, but know that the mentors will not accept aggressive editing from either side - we should set a good example. Basically we need to keep our noses clean, and engage in dispute resolution, and mediation with editors who refuse to agree. This method would be especially useful in your case, because your points are especially well-infored and many would be acceptable under the wikipedia guidelines.
When you do make points that are backed up with reputable/reliable sources and still contested, then you can contact the opposing editors directly and attempt to work it out with them; if this fails then you can invite a third party comment, or comment from experts.
Either way, we need to escape from these circular arguments and aggressive editing. Further, whenever possible quote directly from wikipedia policy and high quality sources. And, resist any attempt by other editors to elicit an irate reply from you. ---=-C-=- 10:09, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
