WFGR

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WFGR is the dominant oldies music radio station in the market of Grand Rapids, Michigan. It transmits from their facility in Alpine Township on 98.7 FM. WFGR's licensee is Regent Broadcasting of Grand Rapids, Inc.

WFGR was previously a classical music station throughout the 1990s. It changed its format to oldies music on October 11, 2004 when Grand Rapids' current oldies station at the time, WODJ, was displaced by rock station WKLQ. WFGR airs the satellite-delivered "Oldies Radio" format from ABC Radio during certain dayparts (11am to 3pm, 8pm to 6am the next day), and provides local disc jockeys during the morning and afternoon/evening drive times.
