At the Championship, the Westview Team 1510 placed second in the qualifying rounds in the Curie Division, receiving the Highest Rookie Seed Award. In the finals their alliance (teams 337, 1510 & 85) finished in second place, receiving the Curie Division Finalist Award. In 2006 they participated in both the Pacific Northwest Regional, where they won the Xerox Creativity Award, the Woodie Flowers Award, and made it to the quarter finals with their alliance (teams 604, 1510,& 847), and the Las Vegas Regional. The Xerox Creativity Award celebrates creative design, use of a component, or a creative or unique strategy of play and the Woodie Flowers Award was presented by Small Parts, Inc. to our Coach, Williane Tenca to celebrate an outstanding engineer or teacher. The students choose and write about a person on their team who best demonstrates excellence in teaching science, math, and creative design. One is presented at each Regional.
