Westfarms Mall

Westfarms Mall is a two level, 1.3 million s.f. upscale regional shopping mall located astride the borders of Farmington, and West Hartford, Connecticut. It opened in 1974 and was expanded twice, first in 1982 with the opening of Lord & Taylor, and more substantially again in 1996 with the addition of Connecticut's first Nordstrom location and about 20 more shops.
This mall includes many upmarket stores such as Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters,Field of Dreams, Apple, as well as the Rainforest Cafe, with many other stores the only location in the central Connecticut market. The mall includes four anchor stores, Macy's (two locations), J.C. Penney, Nordstrom and Lord and Taylor.
Two of Westfarms original anchor stores, G. Fox & Co. and Sage-Allen, were the domiant local department store chains for generations. G.Fox converted to Filene's in 1993 and the Sage-Allen space was converted to the Filene's Mens & Home store in 1994. Both locations are now rebranded as Macy's.
