Western Eye Hospital

The Western Eye Hospital (WEH) includes the only 24-hour Emergency Ophthalmology Department in West London and treats a wide range of eye conditions from glaucoma to wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a major cause of blindness.
The lead consultant is Philip Bloom and the hospital is owned and operated by St Mary's NHS Trust who also run St Mary's Hospital (London), Paddington.
WEH (formerly the Western Ophthalmic Hospital) has been providing ophthalmic services since 1856.
