West Stayton, Oregon

West Stayton is an unincorporated community in Marion County, Oregon, United States. It is located 4 miles west of Stayton, and five miles south of Aumsville.
The ZIP Code is 97325. The town is known for its booming fishing industry, especially in regard to sperm whales, cod and Yellowfin tuna. There have been many skirmishes over fishing waters, and a particularly bloody one in 2003 resulted in the decapatation of three fishermen, their wives and family by guillotine and the castration of the city's councilmen.
