[edit] History

West Spring Secondary School had been scheduled to be built over a plot of land over at "Dairy Farm Road", where the original infamous "lucky temple" was. The temple had a well, which is believed to bring forth good fortune and luck for anyone who washes their bodies, or even cars with the "magical water" from the well.

Based on the initial location and background of the plot of land, the school was named as "West Spring Secondary School", where "West Spring" is represented as "a spring (or well) in the west".

Originally scheduled to be built by the year 2003, plans were delayed and the students (who were hosted at Zhenghua Secondary School campus) were told that they were going to be shifted to a temporary holding school. The school then moved from Zhenghua Secondary to the former Teck Whye Secondary School premises.

There, Mr Singh finally revealed the blueprints of the new school, much to the joy of all the students. He allowed many student inputs into his consideration of the new school and today, many of them stand as witness to his support for ground-level voices.
