West Seattle High School (known to students as "Westside") is a comprehensive public high school in Seattle that serves grades nine through twelve as part of the Seattle School District. The school has a wide variety of programs and services including an Environmental Sciences Academy that allows students to take a rigorous life sciences curriculum, and brand new Advanced Placement Program that offers an ever-growing number of AP subjects, including English composition, English literature, U.S. history, American government, statistics and calculus.
The West Seattle High Associated Student Body (A.S.B.) has broken ground in establishing a two-way conversation between the students and the administration. Most recently the governing group has increased school enthusiasm, very apparent at sporting events and in the community.
