The West Oahu CaneFires are a future Hawaii Winter Baseball team to be based in Waipahu, Hawaii. They will play in the 2007 season in Hawaii Winter Baseball, which is loosely affilitated with Major League Baseball.
The name CaneFires is derived from the burning of sugarcane before harvest. There are many sugarcane plantations on the island of Oahu.
