West Nottingham Academy

Founded 1744 by the preacher Samuel Finley, West Nottingham Academy is the oldest boarding school in America. The academy is located in Cecil County in Maryland and is attended by up to 200 day and boarding students. Famous graduates include Benjamin Rush and Richard Stockton, both signers of the Declaration of Independence and John Filson, historian, author and a founder of Cincinnati, Ohio.
NBA rookie Josh Boone also attended the Academy as a post-graduate. Boone was taken in the first round of the NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets in 2006.
