West Laboratory Elementary School

West Laboratory Elementary School is a primary school located at 5300 Carillo Street in Coral Gables, Florida, located on the University of Miami campus. Its principal is Barbra Sota and it is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools System. The school's mascot is the Crab, and its colors are Green and orange. Its total enrollment for the 2005-2006 school year is 313.

The University's Department of Teaching and Learning collaborates with the school on various projects such as science programs and the creation of a "living habitat". [1]

There was a voting poll to name the crab. The winning name was Mr.Crabs.

West Lab has a few events a few times. The most recent event was an oreo olympic game.
