West Kowloon (KCR)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
West Kowloon is a proposed railway station on the KCR West Rail railway line in Hong Kong. It would be built by Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation, which runs the Hong Kong railways. It is part of a larger West Kowloon Reclamation project.
The surface station building is divided into two parts by Wui Cheung Road. [1] The site is currently occupied by the Canton Road Government Offices which will be demolished.
The construction contract KDB200 (West Kowloon Station and Tunnels - Jordan Road to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station) was awarded to the Leighton-Balfour Beatty-Kumagai-John Holland Joint Venture (renamed to Link 200 Joint Venture in 9 August 2005) at an estimated contract sum of HK$2018m. This station is part of this contract.
