West Hyattsville is a Washington Metro station in Prince George's County, Maryland on the Green Line. It is the first station in Maryland going northeast on the Green Line.
The station is in Chillum, Maryland, near Hyattsville. "Chillum" was originally to be the station's name. It is located on Ager Road near Queens Chapel Road. Service began on December 11, 1993. West Hyattsville is one of only two stations that are elevated side platforms. Eisenhower Avenue on the Yellow Line is the other. Cheverly on the Orange Line and Prince George's Plaza on the Green Line also contain side platforms, though these stations are at ground level.
