West Dunbartonshire is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It was created for the 2005 general election from parts of the old Dumbarton, and Clydebank and Milngavie constituencies.
A constituency of the same name existed from 1950 until 1983, details of which can be found at Dunbartonshire West.

[edit] Boundaries
This new seat is formed from a half-and-half merging of Dumbarton and Clydebank and Milngavie.
This seat branches out from a segment of Clydebank to into Dumbarton and out to the eastern shore of Loch Lomond. As well as Clydebank and Dumbarton, the seats other large population centre is Alexandria.
