West Dulwich railway station is in the London Borough of Southwark in Dulwich south London. It is in Travelcard Zone 3, and the station and all trains are operated by Southeastern.
The station is exactly 5 miles from London Victoria.
The line was built by the London, Chatham and Dover Railway Railway. The train station was opened in 1863 and was originally known as Lower Knight's Hill train station. It took this name from the nearby hill, but was renamed West Dulwich to avoid confusion with another Knight's Hill just a mile south, next to West Norwood railway station.
The typical off-peak service is two trains an hour northbound to London Victoria (via Herne Hill and Brixton) and two trains an hour southbound to Orpington (via Beckenham Junction & Bromley South).
The station is located east of Croxted Road and is situated opposite Belair Park.
