The West Bengal University of Technology (UTech) is a State University located in the suburban satellite township of Salt Lake City, Kolkata, West Bengal. As the name suggests, the University primarily provides education in the multidisciplinary fields of science, technology and management. It is popularly known as WBUTech or simply UTech.

Being a technological University, it provides many degrees ranging from undergraduate B.Tech and B.E. (in house course) to Masters level M.Tech and MBA to doctoral PhD. A complete list of degrees can be found here.

Apart from affliating technical colleges in West Bengal , WBUT runs it in hourse Bachelor of Engineering (B.E). This is conducted by the University School of Information Technology , which was formerly known as Indian Institute of Information Technology - Calcutta (IIIT-C).
