West Ashton is a small vilage in Wiltshire, England. It is located 2 miles south of Trowbridge It contains the hamlets of East Town and Rood Ashton in its parish boundary Rood Ashton house was traditionally the home of Viscount Long and spent many years in disrepair but was completely restored in the 80's and is now in private hands. Another building of interest is the parish church,St Johns,which contains the family crypt of the above mentioned Long family
