Weslandia

Weslandia is the name of a fictional country popularized by Paul Fleischman's 1999 book Weslandia (illustrated by Kevin Hawkes). The country was created by a a student outcast who creates the country/civilization as a school project. In the end, he is regarded as a hero, and the country is very popular. The concept is very similar to modern micronations.
