[edit] New article?

I am thinking of creating a new article titled "Western Football League Premier Division". The content may be a bit redundant but we can shift ALL memeber clubs to this new article. This current article, "Western Football League" would then give us a general overview of the competition. This system of editing is also being folllowed by the other leagues in the English football league system. Any comments would be appreciated. On a side note, the Western Football League Division One has its own article as well. --Siva1979Talk to me 02:31, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Promotion?

I'm new to how these leagues work. Could you explain to me why Bideford haven't been promoted even though they have been division champions several times. Supposed 23:25, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Bideford have chosen not to apply for promotion due to the extra expense and travelling that it would incur by playing in the regional divisions of the Southern League. If they were to go up to the next level, they would have only one other team within a 100 mile radius. They played in the Southern League between 1972-1975 and it almost bankrupted the club, taking over a decade to recover financially. They would like to try again, but not until the conditions are right. - fchd 06:13, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Aye that seems crazy as there should be large financial incentives for playing in the higher divisions. What you've said is interesting, could you add something about it in the bideford article. Supposed 17:59, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] London clubs

How come the likes of Spurs and Millwall were playing in this league in its early days? ChrisTheDude 07:33, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
