[edit] History
The Werribee Football Club was established as a team in the VFA in 1965. In those early years the team was in 2nd division, and although success was not immediate over the past ten years the Tigers have come of age. The club has played a major role in the finals for the past eight years, being club champions in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1998 and winning the championship in 1993, and being runners up in 1991 and 1998.
[edit] AFL Affiliation
The Werribee Football Club has shared and Australian Football League affiliation with the Western Bulldogs since 2000. This has allowed the club to have access to players such as Chris Grant, Jade Rawings, Scott West and Adam Cooney.
