Werner Lucas

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Werner Lucas was a German pilot.

While based in Schiphol, he was shot down on October 24, 1943, and crashed in the city centre of Leiden, the Netherlands. Whether on purpose or by chance, he crashed exactly in the courtyard of a hospital on the Hooigracht, thus taking no other people with him than his 106 kills.
