Werner Kohlmeyer

Werner Kohlmeyer (born 19 April 1924 in Kaiserslautern; died 26 March 1974 in Mainz-Mombach) was a German footballer.
He was part of the West German team that won the 1954 FIFA World Cup. In total he earned 22 caps for West Germany. He also played for 1. FC Kaiserslautern from 1941 to 1960. After retirement he suffered from alcoholism, and died at the age of 49 due to heart failure.
