Wenxuecity[1] (Chinese: 文学城; Pinyin: Wénxuéchéng), which meant Literature City, is one of the most visited Chinese-language websites for overseas Chinese. It is a site that collects news stories, both news concerning China and the world, from other sources (itself does not have a news reporting team). It also has an active and diverse set of forums, divided into categories. In fact, about 50% of the traffic of the site consists of visits to the forums. Some active forums are "Living in North America", "Education", and "Job hunting".
Since this is a Chinese-language site that is based in the United States, it does not practice censorship like in China. Therefore, the content of its news and forum posts are regarded as more accurate and more in-depth, especially with regard to topics related to Chinese politics/culture/current events. Its moderators also tolerate a broad range of views on the forums, such as those who are against the Communist Party of China and those who are supporting it.
